The Exorcist is unleashed at Phoenix Theatre London

Never seen a Theatre production like it, very atmospheric with a wonderful cast. Visually stunning, almost like being inside a film . Great set design, wonderfullight and sound to. A great experience! Do not miss it!

The show was amazing. The atmosphere was set way before it even started, what with the gothic interior design and the eerie music that was played whilst people were taking their seats. It definitely gave me Disney World Haunted Mansion Vibes. Apart from the occasional odd pronunciation of the word exorcism (ex-OR-cism) the acting was brilliant. And I am in love with the illusions, from drawers flying across the stage, to the exploding lights. I will admit that it is jumpier than it is scary - but you could cut the tension with a knife, the audience waiting in anticipation for the iconic moments that they remember from the silver screen. Throughout the performance, a smokey almost death-like scent fills the air which only intensifies the reality - this isn't on TV, you aren't in the comfort of your living room with your finger poised on the pause button - this is all happening in the very room you are in.

Top tip: Bring a spare pair of boxers. At times a little cheesy but great acting, easy to follow and definitely makes you jump.

I bought tickets for my husband for Christmas as he loves horror. This was terrible , the effects were amateur and I felt embarrassed for the actors who are far better than this productio

Excellent production, very impressive scenery and special effects. It gave me a creepy feeling throughout. I am glad I went to see this show before it closes, I would actually go to watch it again.

What a truly fantastic show! Never, in all of my years of watching Theatre shows have I been as impressed with the scenery and atmosphere of a show. The acting is excellent, particularly from Claire Louise Connolly who plays young Regan. The end scene is truly chilling, and there is a consistent creepy feeling throughout. Fantastic evening!

I very much enjoyed this excellent production. Some great effects that left me chilled. The acting was superb, I take my hat off to them. Even the quiet old lady sitting next to me enjoyed it, despite being dead quiet throughout the play. Funnily enough, I never saw her leave. Hmmm

I watched this show on the 4th Jan 2018 with my girlfriend. It was my birthday treat from her and what a treat it was. I do not write reviews but this was an outstanding performance and I have to say thank you. The actors were fantastic, the stage set up was brilliant and this is something I will remember for a long time. A lot of hard work has gone into this show. Thank you so much for making our trip to London a wonderful experience.

Went to see The Exorcist tonight and I am still shaking. How the production people managed to put this into a stage show is staggering. The acting was outstanding. I did enjoy it but was also scared and I do not scare easily. Simply amazing!

I was thoroughly entertained and suitably shaken by ‘The Exorcist’. Fantastic set design, great atmospheric lighting, and impressive fx and makeup complimented the great performances from all involved. Claire Louise Connolly was especially convincing as the demon’s victim/vessel, Regan. I highly recommend seeing this while you can.

This was probably the best stage show I have ever seen. Easy to follow and special effects were amazing. How they changed from set to set so quickly I’ll never know. Read some mixed reviews but all I can say is I am so glad I went to see it. Definitely worth going to see.
