The Exorcist
After the UK premiere at Birmingham Repertory Theatre in 2016, spine-chilling The Exorcist is unleashed in the West End. Playing at the Phoenix Theatre throughout autumn and winter, the terrifying tale is best known from William Friedkin's 1973, Oscar-winning horror film starring Linda Blair. The film had been adapted from Peter William Blatty’s 1971 novel of the same name. Following the story of 12-year-old Regan, who suddenly begins exhibiting highly disturbing behaviour, the audience sees a battle unfold between faith, religion and horrible things unknown as Regan's mother Chris and the local priest join forces to exorcise what they suspect is a demon possessing Regan’s soul. Directed by award-winner Sean Mathias, the production features a stellar creative team, including Olivier Award-winning designer Anna Fleischle, lighting designer Tim Mitchell, sound designer Adam Cork and illusionist Ben Hart. Prepare for the fright of your lives with this unique show running for a limited time.
